3D-Printed Nissan Cherry X1-R Style Tail Lights

Got a 3D printer and a Kaido racer? Love making your own parts?

I've replicated the look of the Nissan Cherry X1-R tail lights to the best of my ability—now you can print and use them on your own build!

🔹 Overall diameter: ~6.5"
🔹 Red lens diameter: ~5"

Material Recommendations

I printed mine in PETG since I live in a colder area, but you may need to print in ABS or another heat-resistant material for hotter climates.

✅ Lenses must be printed in transparent PETG.
✅ Customize your lenses however you like:

• Both clear
• Red with clear
• Red with orange (for turn signals)
• Any color combination you want!

Bulb & Housing Compatibility

These housings use 7443/7440 bulb sockets.

💡 Recommended setup per housing:

• Two (2) 7443 red bulbs (for brake lights)
• One (1) 7440 bulb (amber for turn signal OR white for reverse light)
• Max bulb length: 38mm (for brake lights)

Assembly & Tools Required

Print quality will depend on your printer settings and hardware. The holes are pre-made for M3 bolts and M3 brass heat inserts (~4.5mm OD).

🔧 Tools & Materials Needed:

✔ Plastic welder or soldering iron
✔ CA glue + catalyst (for extra strength if gluing after welding)
✔ M3 brass heat inserts
✔ M3 bolts & washers (length depends on your mounting method)
✔ Three (3) 7443/7440 bulb sockets
✔ Two (2) 7443 red bulbs
✔ One (1) 7440 bulb (amber or white, depending on turn signal/reverse setup)

🛠 Some plastic welding OR gluing is required before final assembly!
